Color Names

[:1]Anyone knows how to give a color to a name, like Sword of a Thoused Deaths, in warcraft, i know that's it's a bit like |h007... but i don't know the rest, i need this for green, blue, purple, red, orange. Like the item names in WoW. so can anyone help me?|||Yeah. Easy. Since there are too many colors to actually get every one down, I'll give you the main colors.

|c00ff0000 -- Red

|c00ffff00 -- Yellow

|c0000ff00 -- Green

|c000000ff -- Blue

|c00ff0080 -- Pink

|c0000ffff -- Teal

|c00000000 -- Black

Well, thats all I really use. But, if you want more, just google 'Warcraft 3 Colors'

There are also more at thehelper.net.|||thx man. |||link with codes for all kind of colors. Thank Oogly for this cause I got this link from him when I had the same question :P|||Quote:

You forgot '|f' to finish it :)

If you're interested by the way, it's ARGB. Alpha (transparency), red (red, obviously), green, blue.|||....erm, you guys just explained that really confusingly...

if I didn't know HTML hex color codes...then I'd be completely lost.

colors in custom games are done in the following format:

Prefix: |cff

Suffix: |r

Color Code: 6 numbers or characters in hexadecimal format

Thus, FFFFFF is white in hexadecimal, so to write HI in white you would use the following code:

|cffFFFFFFHI|r

000000 is black in hexadecimal, etc.

To use a different color, use a different hexadecimal color code, search for them online by searching "hexadecimal color chart" or "html color chart" which produces a reliable set of results.|||Or you can just get a program to do that for you.

If a person had no clue what 'Hexadecimal' is, then they wouldnt have a clue of what you just said.

The numbers 000000000 all are RGB (Red, Green, Blue) which you mix to form the color you want.

It's 255 I believe, that is the fullness of the color, could be wrong now.

Just google for the program, use the colors I posted on first reply, and your set.|||This might explain it a little better.

And the prefix is just |c ff is for transperancy, but keep it ff since you don't use it with letters.|||File link:
