Bug: Unlimited Heroes

I cant seem to get rid of a bug with my maps, u can build unlimited heroes with no restriction. I want the player to only be able to build 3 heroes like in standard maps. All heroes in my maps are custom.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Many thanks.|||Quote:

Open up the Gameplay Constants menu under the Advanced Tab (make sure you use custom gameplay constants for this) click on any data and press "T"

you need to edit this line: "Techtree - Dependency equivalents - Hero"

and then just add in those heroes you made and they will now be accounted for in the hero limits.

Note: if there is ever a hero type that you dont want to do this for and want to act like a base unit make sure you have a trigger that removes that hero from the game after death (I had to do this for my heroes map where I converted all basic units (like footmen) to heroes.)|||Quote:

I managed to do this in a different world editor i downloaded, which is different to mine (mine is quite an old version), but then it got really buggy and when i opened the map nothing was there.|||that is really strange...ive not heard of that happening before...what version of WC3 world editor do you have and do you have the expansion installed?|||Assuming you do have the expansion (I don't think you could edit any gameplay constants in the old RoC editor):

If you still have a working copy of your map that you can open in your working editor, I'd like to confirm that in the latest version editor (which you automatically get updated to when you connect to battlenet) there is a field in the gameplay constants labeled "Techtree - Dependency Equivalents - Hero", which is what you're looking for.

Of course, if you happen to have a broken/outdated world editor and can't get updated from battlenet, I have a guess why that might be...|||hi guys, once i updated my world editor I was able to fix the bug once and for all, thankyou so much for ur help.
